    Monday, October 1, 2012
Your homework for tonight is to re-read Abby's Lament {Yagelski.pdf} . However, you should be practicing your critical reading methods (skimming, note-taking, highlighting, summary, paraphrase, and so forth). In addition, you should also be taking notes on major key terms or concepts. Identify major concepts like literacy or power and try to define those terms. You may use the text, the author's source, or your own interpretation. You should have at least 4 key terms by the start of class on Tuesday.
